Carol Weisberg Burgess


Carol Weisberg Burgess is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. Carol holds a Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, and her work has been shown in professional juried exhibits in both Virginia and North Carolina. In addition, she has had six one-woman shows in these states.

Carol has taught art classes and workshops to children and adults for more than 30 years. Her experience includes may years at Raliegh's Hillel School and at the Maass Jewish Day School, and on going work at The Heritage in Raleigh and Sunrise at North Hills. In 1995 she opened Artworks, the Studio, in Raleigh, where she continues to teach and explore further dimensions of her art.

Currently, Carol is working with the Carolina Ballet creating painting of their dancers. Look for Carol this summer at the 2010 American Dance Festival in Durham. This will be her seventh year as artist in residence.
